About MDG '15

MDG'15 is an international school project on the Millennium Development Goals.
In Belgium, India, France, Poland, Senegal, the Czech Republic and the United Kingdom, all kinds of projects are set up by students between 16 and 18 years old ánd their teachers. Examples of this are the intercultural immersion trip to Senegal for teachers and the international youth camp in the Czech Republic. Check this site for more information!

We will be selecting 10 young people (from 5 or more Yorkshire schools) who have made a real impact with their actions to raise awareness of the MDGs, to the International Youth Summit in Prague in Easter 2010. Register now! Deadline Christmas 2009.

Yorshire schools slum it

Students from Hemsworth Community Arts College and Outwood Grange High school enjoyed building their own slum dwellings as part of learning about how 1 in 6 of the world live. Young people built their slum in small groups before writing to their MPs, asking what they are doing to ensure MDG goal 7 is being fulfilled.

"We enjoyed the practical work (of building the slums) and learning the facts about children and families in other countries that were poor." Hemsworth student on the Slumdog Survivor workshop.
